Accountant, CPA's and other Pinoy Quickbooks users can easily segregate or provide financial data per product, per profit center, or branches by using Quickbooks Class function.
By default, Class function is not activated in Quickbooks, but Pinoy Quickbooks users can easily activate it by choosing Edit - Preference - Accounting and the Company Preference Tab, then select the Use Class Tracking check box. Upon activation of Quickbooks Class function Pinoy Quickbooks users can now generate the reports by class.
Step by Step Procedure in Setting up Class:
1. To create a new class, click the Class button and choose New from the Class menu.
2. Enter a name or abbreviation into the Class Name box to name the new class.
3. If the class that you are setting up is a subclass of a parent class, select the subclass check box and then select the parent class from the subclass drop down menu.
4. Put description on the new class
5. Click Ok to save the class or you can click the Next button to save the class and open a new class window.
6. If the class you create will not be used anymore, you can select Class is Inactive check box.
You can visit the Class Details anytime, just be sure to save it.
