Recording Donations to Charitable Institutions or other companies of Non - Inventory items in Intuit Quickbooks is like Recording Donations of Inventory Items in Quickbooks.

Pinoy Accountants or Pinoy Quickbooks Users can follow the three simple steps below how to record donations to Charitable Institutions or other companies of Non - Inventory items in Intuit Quickbooks:
Step One: Create a Sales Receipt and record the sale of Non Inventory Item in Quickbooks. Click Save to record the Sales Receipt.

Step Two: Search the Expense used in recording the purchase of the Item. Then record a Donation in General Journal by Crediting the expense. Example: The company purchased Pinoy-Quickbooks: Umbrella then the same item will be donated to a Charitable Institution. The Accounting entry on General Journal should be:

   DR Charitable Contribution    100.00
          CR Pinoy-QuickBooks : Umbrella    100.00

Step Three: Click Save to record the Donation
